The other side of the starting block witnesses the foot leaving as a wave of heat passes above a cool stream of air made present by the lack that now recedes down the track. Looking behind a self disclosed, implies a host of tangibles, resources and droplets of condensed fact that roll down the window of our perceptions like beads of sweat licked off the brow of the world and plowed away by mechanical windshield wipers.
I'm talking about the fundamental crisis of displacement, when the detailed reality of our visionary purposes gives way to a much more indifferent box of intercepting results. A how to, on considering results or consequences in a world where cause and effect have left such a bitter taste under our tongues. The whole aim of speech is to wipe that cause and effect from our complacent, self inscribing faces, purchasing the newest dog treat as if it were the only way to escape the shame of being some dark witches cat that rode broomsticks for the past twenty centuries. We drink more and more of our own myths to get rid of their vile chemical taste. What goes up must come down, but I don't feel happy about that in the least. Nor am I satisfied with the statistical probabilities that a balloon bouncing against a curb sends democracies around the globe scuttling under bushes looking for nuts every winter. Damn Global warming, damn it to a hell where everything is gold and no one knows nothing about temperature. Will resides there, between a perfect bowl of porridge and a small seat set just for me at a table with extra long legs and a skinny body.
